A special edition vase has been created by world-renowned ceramics company Moorcroft to support Dorset's wildlife. Featuring three badgers outside their sett under stylised trees and undergrowth, the vase will be launched in September, with all profits going to support the conservation work of Dorset Wildlife Trust.
Established in 1897, Moorcroft leads the world of art pottery, which is highly sought after by collectors all over the world.
The wildlife vase, named The Sett, is being launched on Saturday 13th September 6.30 pm - 8.30 pm in the Victorian Room at the Dorset County Museum, Dorchester, with a talk by Eric Knowles (from Antiques Roadshow) entitled 'Potted Wildlife - wildlife images in ceramic history'.
Eric will be joined by the designer of the vase, Kerry Goodwin, and a leading Moorcroft demonstration artist, who will both tube-line and paint The Sett, bringing Moorcroft to life before your very eyes.
