Marine Volunteering
Volunteer Marine Wardens are an essential asset to the running of the Purbeck Marine Wildlife Reserve - a group of trained individuals who work along side Dorset Wildlife Trust staff. They receive training in topics such as species identification, marine conservation issues and protection, wardening, cetaceans and fishing.
What do Volunteers do?
Volunteers help with a range of tasks, including:
- Manning the marine centre
- Patrolling the reserve
- Monitoring research projects and carrying out surveys
- Helping to deliver our education programme
- Assisting on guided walks and events
- Helping on work parties, such as beach cleans and reserve maintenance
Free Newsletter
Volunteers recieve a regular newsletter Kimmeridge Tidings, and the opportunity to get involved with other Dorset Wildlife Trust activities.
