Goose Barnacle

 7 Sep 2008

Another usual find has turned up on the shores of Worbarrow Bay recently.  The goose barnacle Lepas hilli was discovered attached to some jettison by our resident beach wrecker on the strandline at Worbarrow Bay.  It is believed that this species is a new finding for the reserve and is characterised by its  yellow edging unlike the more common species that has brown markings.
