Brownsea Island in Poole Harbour is the new location for Autumnwatch this year. Owned by The National Trust, with over 200 acres managed by Dorset Wildlife Trust as a nature reserve, the island is home to a nationally important population of red squirrels, a host of wildfowl and internationally important numbers of wading birds.

Autumnwatch will be broadcast on BBC2 from Monday 27th October 2008 for two weeks, Monday to Thursday, 8pm
