Wild Harbour Art Competition.
Dorset Wildlife Trust and Soroptimist International Poole are organising an art competition for all children in Poole Schools.

- The theme of the artwork is the Wildlife of Poole Harbour.
- All First and Combined Schools in Poole are invited to participate.
- The competition will be independently judged including by Antonia Philips, a prominent Dorset wildlife artist.
- There are two categories: children in Years 1 and 2 and children in Years 3 and 4.
- For both categories there will be prizes for the winner and the runner up. These will be a digital camera and a pair of binoculars respectively.
- Flyers, posters and application forms will be delivered to schools.

- The competition is to raise awareness of the environmental education and community roles played by both Dorset Wildlife Trust and Soroptimists International Poole.
- It is also hoped that local children, through creative means, will increase their appreciation of Poole Harbour as a fantastic place for wildlife.
- A copy of the winning artwork will be placed in the Dorset Wildlife Trust Magazine.

Competition Rules
- The artwork must be on A4 white paper
- Any media can be used (collage, paint, pen, pencil, crayon, pastel)
- The image must not be computer generated
- Photography is not allowed
- The deadline for completed artwork in Monday 20th October. Please bring your picture together with a completed application form to school by this date.
