On Sunday 6th July, 21 volunteers braved the strong winds and risked wet weather to remove 142kg of litter from Kimmeridge and 16 volunteers removed 578kg of litter from Worbarrow (mainly a large green trawl net). Surprisingly, these beaches were the cleanest we've ever seen on a beachclean and litter was mostly in the form of cotton bud sticks and small plastic and polystyrene pieces.
A big thank you to all attended and we will look forward to seeing others at Beachwatch on Sunday 21st September at 2pm. |
