Tune into the sounds of the dawn chorus with Dorset Wildlife Trust and the Borough of Poole Ranger team. As part of the BBC breathing places celebration of International Dawn Chorus Day, the team will be listening to the sound of spring in Delph Woods, Poole and giving expert help in identifying the star performers.
Nicky Hoar of Dorset Wildlife Trust said: "This will be a chance to hear birdsong at its best; at this time of day and at the peak of the breeding season, the birds will be loud and proud. It will be worth getting up early for!"
The dawn chorus event, which includes a cooked breakfast in the woods, is on Saturday 10th May from 5am to 7am in Delph Woods, Poole. £5 for adults, children under 14 free. Booking essential. To book and for more information, contact the Borough of Poole Rangers on 01202 261364.
